Lost kerensa
by Sam Bassett

A show consisting of recent works including drawing, painting and constructions by artist / illustrator Sam Bassett.
Born in St.Ives (1982) Sam went on to study at Falmouth College of Arts and The Arts Institute Bournemouth. Over the past year he has been working on pieces both in London and back in Cornwall.
His recent works are a reflection on personal events, using fragments of conversation, memories and thoughts. The artist creates a hub of activity from words and images, which are often overridden in a very intuitive way with fresh thoughts as his paintings are worked into. There is a constant theme through the work although this show offers a variety of working methods as the artist explores different mediums to push his ideas.
